Out of the Cold
Over twenty-five years ago, St. Andrew's Church began to open its doors for people on the streets of Toronto, offering a place for them to come in out of the cold and have a good meal.

Our chef works with a large team of volunteers to prepare delicious meals. Our mandate from the beginning is to serve meals that we would be proud to serve our family and friends. In recent years we have often welcomed over three hundred guests on some evenings.
The Boutique
We would like to thank all those who have so generously donated money, clothing and toiletries to the boutique this past year. You have been so generous that we are speedily running out of space to accommodate many more donations so, for the next few months at least, we are going to have to restrict what we can accept.
For the month of September we are only able to accept the following:
· Men’s athletic wear (hoodies, sweatpants), sizes large to XXL
· Men’s running shoes, sizes 10 to 13
· Men’s and Women’s Fall jackets in sizes large to XXL
· Soap & toothpaste (travel size versions are especially useful)
If you are able to donate any of the above, it would be greatly appreciated. Please note that donations can be new or gently used. If used, we do ask that items be laundered, in good repair and ready to wear. Donations may be dropped off in the bin outside the Church Library on Sundays or Monday through Thursday between 9:30am and 4:00pm.
As you can appreciate, most of our guests are only looking for casual clothing so, if you are looking to donate more formal/office appropriate clothing, may we ask that you please consider Dress for Success Toronto. They are located in the lower concourse of the North York Centre at 5150 Yonge St. and their website is: https://dressforsuccesstoronto.org/

On Monday, October 19th, Alberta will vote on whether to remain a province of Canada or start a legal process to hold a second, binding referendum on separation. Jason Kenney was the premier of Alberta from 2019 to 2022. Come and hear what he has to say about it!
The Honourable Jason Kenney was the 18th Premier of Alberta, leading its government from 2019 to 2022. He is the co-chair of Alberta and Canada: Stronger Together, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce’s campaign to bring business and community leaders together around a shared commitment to Canada’s economic future.

Better English Cafe
Anyone wishing to improve their conversational English skills is welcome, whether you are a newcomer to Canada, an international student, or even a long term visitor.
See you on Tuesdays from 7:00 to 8:30pm in the Great Hall. Enter at Simcoe Street Doors - opposite Roy Thomson Hall.

SAGA
SAGA is a social group that started in the 1970s to provide a welcoming safe space for members of the LGBT community to gather for fellowship and mutual support.
Monthly meetings with potluck supper
Following the summer break, SAGA meetings will resume on Friday, September 25th, at 6:00 PM in the Great Hall. We’ll hold an informal group discussion to plan our activities for the 2026–2027 year.
Everyone is welcome! There is no admission charge—just bring something for the potluck supper.
Future Meetings will be held on October 23 and November 27.

SAGA welcomes everyone who is interested in supporting diversity and inclusion. Meetings start with a potluck supper and then usually include a speaker, a facilitated discussion or a group activity.
PCC Confession
The 2022 General Assembly adopted a confession to God and LGBTQI people, confessing harm caused by homophobia, transphobia, heterosexism and hypocrisy in The Presbyterian Church in Canada, and committing the church to real change of heart and behaviour.
tcs Toronto 5km Walk!
Join our team for the annual tcs 5km Walk. This is a great way to stay fit, build community, and raise funds for our outreach programs. This year’s walk will take place on Saturday, October 17, 2026.
