The Reverend William G. Ingram, Senior Minister |
|
|
Will was inducted as the Senior Minister at St. Andrew's in September 2007. Prior to serving at St. Andrew's, he served as the minister of Morningside-High Park, Toronto, after graduating from Knox College with a Master's of Divinity degree in 1996. He subsequently completed a Master's of Theology degree from the University of Toronto in Biblical Studies. He is married to Karen, and they have two daughters (Kate and Madeline) and an infant son, Spencer.
While serving at MHP, Will was also active in a number of ministries and organizations outside of the congregation, including the Boards of Directors of Evangel Hall and Portland Place, the PCC Evangelism Advisory Group, the PCC Ecumenical and Interfaith Relations Committee, the Governing Board of the Canadian Council of Churches, and the Interfaith Committee on Chaplaincy for Corrections Services Canada. From 2004-2005, he served as the Moderator of the Presbytery of West Toronto. In February, 2006, he served as the PCC’s delegate to the Ninth Assembly of the World Council of Churches, in Porto Alegre, Brazil; and will be serving on the WCC Central Committee for the next seven years. He enjoys reading, playing guitar, cooking, travelling, marathon running, sailboat racing, and spending time on wilderness canoe trips with friends.

| The Reverend Dr. George C. Vais, Associate Minister |
|
|
George joined St. Andrew's
in September 1998 to give leadership to our Christian Education program,
with particular emphasis on Adult Education. This is a subject of particular
interest to George, for which he has a record of success. George was born in
Greece and raised in Bracebridge where his father was the minister at Knox
Church. He studied at the former Waterloo College [University of Western
Ontario], Knox College, Toronto and Presbyterian College, Montreal. He
served congregations in Ontario and Manitoba. In 1987 he was awarded an
honorary degree from Presbyterian College, and in 1994 he was elected
Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Canada during which time he and his
wife Faith had the opportunity to visit ten different countries.
During the recent vacancy,
St. Andrew's was blessed to have George take on additional responsibilities
as the Interim Minister, including leading worship on Sunday mornings and
during the Thursday noon-hour communion services.
George and Faith live in Vankoughnet in the District of Muskoka; they have
four children -- Tom, Chris [deceased], Nancy and Michelle, all of whom are
married -- and are blessed with six grandchildren. |
| The Reverend Rodger Hunter, Minister-in-Association |
|
|
On a part-time basis, Rodger, the former chaplain at the Scott Mission in downtown Toronto, gives staff support and pastoral care to the homeless who come for food and shelter to our Out of the Cold program. The rest of his time is devoted to the Boarding Homes Ministry sponsored by the East Toronto Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church and supported by St. Andrew's funds and volunteers. This program brings volunteers and boarding house residents together in a unique and powerful ministry |
