Saga is a fellowship group started in the late 70’s in support of the gay rights movement. Our meetings are well attended. Many members have been attending Saga for decades.
Saga has always been a support and fellowship group rather than a political or activist group and it has always been an inclusive group.
This ministry is extended to all people regardless their sexual orientation, sexual identity or religious background. Currently, about one third of our regular members are straight.
We meet on the fourth Friday of the month between September and June except in December, when we celebrate Christmas with a special dinner and caroling on a Saturday.
Meetings start with a pot luck dinner at 6:30 p.m.
Programs vary from sharing our own story about a certain subject to invited guests who speak about topics that are relevant in our lives.
The program of the month is normally announced in This Week at St. Andrew’s and in our Sunday worship bulletin two weeks before the meetings.
