 1) The Word on the Street from John Singh

Many of us know John Singh, who sells 'Outreach' newspapers at the corner of King and University.  John also writes a brief weekly meditation that he shares with passersby.  This week's devotion is the following:

We are called to treat our children, and all people, with love and respect.

It helps to remember what we were when Christ died for us.

Help me, Lord, to show respect and love to others, always mindful of the fact that each of us is created in your image.  May your love shine through my life and bring praise and honour to You.  Amen.

God's love changes prodigals sons into precious saints.

John Singh #25

2) A Special Goodbye to Maureen MacNeish

During last Sunday's morning service, the members of the Health Cabinet honoured the work of Maureen McNeish, who has been serving as the congregation's Parish Nurse for the past few years.  Maureen will be resigning effective June 30, 2009.

We are thankful for Maureen's ministry among us and wish her God's richest blessing on her future endeavours.
