and has served – in a wide range of roles in our congregation and in the
wider church. As well as being an
active elder and former Clerk of Session, she recently co-chaired the Search
Committee, is an active volunteer in the Out of the Cold programme, and
serves on the Presbytery’s Sexual Abuse and Harassment Committee – and those
are only a few of her many involvements in the life of our community of
faith. To read Lorraine’s contribution

3) St. Andrew’s Members at the Presbyterian
Church in Canada’s General Assembly
Please
keep the General Assembly meetings of the Presbyterian Church in Canada in your
prayers this week. Three members of St.
Andrew’s Church are participating in those meetings, which are taking place in
Ottawa from June 1 – 6. The General
Assembly is an annual gathering of Presbyterians from across the country, who
meet to oversee the work, doctrine and ministries of our denomination.
Eric
Reynolds is there as a representative of the Pension and Benefits Board; Lori
Ransom is there on behalf of the Justice Ministries department in her role as
Healing and Reconciliation programme animator; and Marc Buist is there as a
representative of our congregation and of the Presbytery of East Toronto.
We pray for God’s blessing to be with them, and with the work of the General
Assembly.
