INTRODUCTION
Over 14 years ago, St. Andrew's joined Toronto's new Out of the Cold program, designed to feed the city's homeless, some of whom were literally starving and freezing to death on our streets.
At that time we were one of four churches in the program. Today there are over 60 churches, synagogues and other organizations running Out of the Cold programs in Toronto; even the city's august Law Society of Upper Canada now runs a program -- out of its elegant quarters at Osgoode Hall on University Avenue.
